My Best Life An Essay by Liam (shared with permission) If I could have my best life....I would have friends, play games, go bowling and to arcades, play on my iPad a lot, and have friends over. In my room, I would have glow in the dark stickers on the ceiling, Dexter would sleep under me like a real bunk bed and there would be a climbing wall on my bed. There would be a a tire swing in the yard and another climbing wall. We would have campouts in the backyard all the time. I would have a pet bird and dogs and a cat and a pig. I would want the dog to sleep with me in my bed. It could be a little dog.
We would go on vacations to places like Florida and Japan and also go to Gatlinburg again. We would go to forests and jungles and see monkeys. I would climb trees and explore the woods. I would go to the zoo and bring my friends with me on my trips. I would play with my friends in the backyard and in my room. I would play a lot of Minecraft with Scarlet and Lilith and Kylie. I would have sleepovers with my best friends. Dexter would be kind and Dexter and Rory would grow up so they will be more like me and we can have fun together. I would learn to ride a bike. I would learn bird calls, and how to use a canoe and how to make video games. In the video game, I would be the main character, a treaure hunter that fights monsters. I would get to play video games a lot. Mama and Papa would never yell and we would have fun together a lot and they would not make consequences, like taking away things we like, like video games. We would go to science museums and the dinosaur museums and we would play lots of games together. We would all make games up together. Our family would be happy. Our house would stay safe. The end.

Memorial Day has come and gone and that means it is time to start thinking about summer. Every year, Liam and I make a summer bucket list. We do not always complete everything on the list, but it is a good jumping off point. Because we "unschool," outside of the break from our regular co-ops and classes, summer would not feel terribly different from the rest of the year if we did not make an effort to make it special. Making a list of special summer activities reminds us to enjoy the season! Summer Bucket List 2016 1. Go to the Beach 2. Visit (A LOT of) Science Museums 3. Go Camping 4. Have a Bubble Party 5. Make Homemade Ice Cream 6. Run a Lemonade Stand 7. Have a Water Balloon Fight 8. Star-Gazing 9. Fishing 10. Bowling 11. Go to the Drive-In Movie Theater 12. Have a 'Kids Cook Dinner" Night 13. Make a Movie 14. Sleepovers with Everyone 15. Mini-Golf 16. Complete our Summer Reading Program Passports 17. Go to a Fun Camp. Wish us Luck!

WHO AM I?
I am Michelle: a wannabe hippie in love with a bonafide geek. We also spawned. I spend my days with our four wild, beautiful boy children and I overshare about our life online because I am a Millennial and that is what we do.
