Who Am I?
My name is Michelle. I read a lot of books, I drink a lot of coffee, I tend to a lot of house plants and, three decades into life, I don't regret my tattoos or piercings quite yet. Once upon a time, a skinny boy with a lip ring made me swoon so I did the logical thing and married him. We may have rushed into it, but it turned out to be a decent idea. We live in Chattanooga, Tennessee and are Mama and Papa to three beautiful and bewildering little boys. I spend my days with them and I love it even when I don't.
A few years back, we bought this little red house in the city and have been putting down roots. I am a bit of a wanderer so roots are new and strange, but I am learning to like it. I tend to lean "crunchy" and Ryan tends to put up with it, so our life includes a lot of trips to the farmer's market, backyard gardening, holistic medicine, unschooling adventures and zero waste endeavors. It also includes a lot of doctor's appointments, therapy sessions and time management struggles since our two year old was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. I am still learning to embrace my new role as a "special needs mom." I have been blogging in one form or another since middle school. You can read the previous incarnations of this blog here and here but I will go back no further for fear of total humiliation. I am ever so grateful for this space, the connections I have made and the record I have kept of our lives so far. Thank you for visiting. - Michelle |
